Los Angeles, CA (February 1, 2024) – American Realty Advisors (ARA) is pleased to announce that Kirk Helgeson has been named as President of the firm. Mr. Helgeson will continue to serve as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer, Chairman of its Investment Committee, and as the leader of the firm’s value-added real estate strategy.

The move comes as part of the firm’s long-term succession planning and as recognition of Mr. Helgeson’s longtime contribution to ARA’s leadership, direction, and strength.

Scott Darling, who previously held the position of President, will continue to focus his efforts on the Core Fund as the Co-Portfolio manager alongside Martha Shelley. He will continue to serve on the firm’s Leadership and Investment Committees.
